From the artist: The Eye of Ra on the handle’s end symbolizes the Egyptian sun god and the ability to both watch over you and protect you against any who may do harm. The eye’s vision represents the power of the extreme heat of the sun which perceives all from above and can be shot like arrows to destroy evil. The handle’s ankhs symbolize life and longevity… while the colors… which include gold, lapis lazuli and alabaster were chosen specifically due to their ties and uses in ancient Egypt. 

This is much more than a magic wand.
